On February 9, 2025, the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association presents the Year of the Snake celebrations, starting at the Gates of Harmonious Interest. Enjoy an 8-lion performance by the Wong Sheung Kung Fu Club, a dragon dance by the Victoria Chinese Public School, and traditional Chinese dances. The parade proceeds along the 500 block of Fisgard Street to the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and Chinese Public School at 636 Fisgard Street. After the parade, two lion teams visit local merchants, performing blessing routines to drive away evil spirits and bring prosperity, health, and luck for the New Year. This event occurs rain, snow, or shine.
