The 32nd edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal will be held from June 25 to July 4, 2011.

This year, the main free events will be held at the new Place des Festivals, located at Jeanne-Mance Street south of De Maisonneuve Boulevard. We advise festival-goers to access this new site from the east, by way of Ontario Street East (Saint-Laurent metro station), or from the west, using De Maisonneuve Boulevard West (McGill metro station). The Place des Festivals is also accessible by Jeanne-Mance Street via Saint-Catherine Street.

A Festival full of activities… for the kids!
With its unique, safe and friendly ambience, its array of terrasses, kiosks and boutiques, and the diversity and range of its free activities and shows, the outdoor site of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal is chosen by parents as the ideal family destination. Located in the heart of downtown, just a stone’s throw from many of the city’s favourite hotels, it was created to meet the needs of parents and their young children looking to spend the whole day on-site. And this year will be no exception!

Play all day As of June 25, noon, the ever-popular Parc musical Rio Tinto Alcan, located in the Village du Festival, will be offering games for the kids along with a continuous array of activities all day long! It’s the perfect opportunity to get them started playing music! Nearby, parents will want to make use of the baby-changing tent, stroller parking, and unwind and refresh themselves in our bistros-terrasses and kiosks before stopping by the Festival Souvenir Boutiques, featuring clothes and accessories for children.
