Waterfalls at Hogs Back ParkHog’s Back Park in Ottawa overlooks the spectacular Hog’s Back Falls on the Rideau River. This urban nature park is surrounded by history. During the construction of the Rideau Canal (1826–1832), one of the most challenging dam-building projects took place at Hog’s Back. In the Park you will find historical displays, as well as a designated heritage pavilion which has been renovated.

Hog’s Back Park is the ideal place for a quiet afternoon picnic and has a concession stand for snacks. Take a stroll through the park and enjoy its natural beauty and the views of Hog’s Back Falls and the Rideau River.

The Park was developed in the 1950s and extends over 20.8 hectares. It is located on Hog’s Back Road and Riverside Drive in Ottawa.
